Description
The Family Leadership Training Institute is a curriculum that was originally developed in 1992 as the Parent Leadership Training Institute by the Connecticut Commission on Children. CSI staff has been trained as a Trainer in the curriculum and is co-facilitating the Colorado Family Leadership Training Institute curriculum.
Families are offered four phases of training:
- A retreat to develop the group and define the mission;
- A 10-week course on family leadership;
- A 10-week study of politics, policy, and media; and
- A community project to practice the learning within a community context.
