The Mental Health Action Alliance (MHAA) was funded by multiple organizations, including the DECC, The Colorado Health Foundation, the Mental Health Center of Denver, the Mayor's Office for Education and Children, the Piton Foundation, Denver Public Schools, Mile High Montessori, Mile High United Way, JFK Partner, Assets for Colorado Youth, and the Center for Systems Integration.

Stakeholders in the work of the Mental Health Action Alliance include the Colorado Health Foundation, the Mental Health Center of Denver, the Mayor's Office for Education and Children, the Piton Foundation, Denver Public Schools, Mile High Montessori, Mile High United Way, JFK Partner, Assets for Colorado Youth, Family Star Montessori and Early Head Start, parents and family advocacy organizations, early care and education providers, and representatives from developmental disabilities, mental health, health, child welfare, schools, and other areas.
Description
The Denver Early Childhood Council’s Mental Health Action Alliance goal is to design a mental health system of care for Denver's young children to ensure ready access to services for children and families in community and child-care settings. Toward this goal, CSI developed a research report and action plan (called the Framework for Change) on how to improve the social-emotional health of young children in Colorado.
