  • The LINKS Big Meeting III on May 14th from 9:00am until 4:30pm will include a panel of state leaders talking about policy changes, a foundation representative speaking on priorities for grant-making, an opportunity for LINKS partners to expand their understanding of family and youth involvement in policymaking, and action work-groups to help guide the implementation of LINKS' three priority areas.  To RSVP, please contact Rebecca@csi-policy.org.  A save-the-date flyer is available at  http://www.csi-policy.org/documents/LINKSIII.pdf
  • The LINKS Initiative is moving forward on three priority areas in kids' mental health: To get involved, please contact Rebecca@csi-policy.org.  The three areas are:
    • Integration of behavioral health efforts, including "clearinghouse of clearinghouses" to make best practice and technical assistance information more easily available;
    • Family and Youth Involvement, focusing on increasing family and youth involvement in policymaking settings at the state and local level; and
    • Budget, Funding, and Finance, looking at current regulations and funding streams to identify opportunities for increasing flexibility and braiding of funds at the state and local level.

  • The State Department Interagency MOUs (required by C.R.S. 25-20.5-101 through 111, C.R.S.) have been signed by the Departments of Public Safety, Public Health and Environment, and Transportation.  The Colorado Departments of Education and Human Services are still in process.  In addition, State Judicial and the Departments of Health Care Policy and Financing, and Revenue are voluntarily signing the MOUs to coordinate Department activities.
  • The PLC is required by C.R.S. 25-20.5-106(2)(a)(I-V) to develop common components to all state-issued RFPs/RFAs for children and youth services.  Program managers from each state department are encouraged to submit copies of your program's RFP/RFA to Chele Clark, chele.clark@state.co.us by Friday, March 31st.
  • On March 13th, the PLC hosted a technical assistance and training strategic planning meeting.  Over 20 representatives from across six state departments gathered to develop a plan on how to integrate technical assistance and training efforts for local communities (i.e. grantees).  The end goal is to build a system / infrastructure around the needs of its users--local communities and state agency employees.
