Colorado LINKS for Mental Health
- LINKS is pulling together board development materials specific to family and youth involvement in policy settings. The LINKS staff will extend an invitation to any of the groups listed in the Guidebook to Interagency Planning Initiatives (available at: http://www.csi-policy.org/links/) to receive free technical assistance as they develop or enhance their family and youth involvement.
- LINKS is taking the first steps on implementing the action plan items related to budgets, funding, and finance. Thank you to all the BIG Meeting III participants who provided insight and ideas to guide the work of this leadership group.

Colorado Behavioral Healthcare Council
- The Colorado Behavioral Healthcare Council (CBHC) now has a newsletter, a new service whose purpose is to improve awareness, understanding and support for the thousands of our friends, family, and co-workers who face behavioral health issues today and the thousands of other people who will face these challenges in the future. CBHC is a nonprofit membership organization that represents Colorado's statewide network of community behavioral healthcare providers (including 17 community mental health centers, two specialty clinics, and five behavioral health organizations). Colorado System of Care Collaborative
- At the next Colorado System of Care Collaborative meeting, speakers from the Governor's Office of Policy and Initiatives will discuss the Governor's focus for the next year of health and mental health. The meeting will be Friday, August 1st, at the Tennyson Center for Children from 9:30 -- 11:30 am (no meeting in July).

Colorado Access to Recovery
- Colorado Access to Recovery (ATR) is a federally funded initiative expanding access to substance abuse treatment and recovery support services to over 6,000 people over a three-year period. The Colorado Office of the Governor, in conjunction with the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Division (ADAD) have been awarded a three-year grant by the Center for Substance Abuse Treatment to expand existing treatment capacity, increase client choice of treatment provider, and enhance the participation of community and faith-based organizations in providing support for individuals with substance abuse problems.

Colorado Department of Health Care Policy and Financing
- As mentioned last month, the Colorado Department of Health Care Policy and Financing is requesting comments on its draft Request for Proposals (RFP) to administer and operate the Colorado Medicaid Community Mental Health Services Program (Mental Health Program). The draft RFP and exhibits have now been published on the Department Web site at: http://www.chcpf.state.co.us/HCPF/web/draftrfp.asp. The public comment period will be from June 10th through July 3rd, 2008. The Department is hosting a series of public forums to invite stakeholders to ask questions and provide feedback on the Draft RFP.
