Colorado LINKS for Mental Health

  • The LINKS Family & Youth Involvement Workbook for Boards is now available on the LINKS website: http://www.csi-policy.org/links/fyiworkbook/ !  LINKS plans to pilot the workbook with various inter-agency planning groups throughout the rest of the summer, after which proposed changes will be incorporated into the workbook.  If your group would like to pilot all or part of the workbook, please contact Natalie Portman-Marsh at Natalie@csi-policy.org

Building Bridges for Children's Mental Health

  • Building Bridges leaders are presenting on Positive Behavior Supports and Building Bridges at the Safe Schools Regional Training, sponsored by the Colorado School Safety Resource Center (CSSRC) and the Center for the Study and Prevention of Violence (CSPV), is being held on September 29-30 in Grand Junction Colorado.  This training is provided with support from the Colorado Office of the Attorney General and the Colorado School Districts Self Insurance Pool.  It is free to Colorado educators, law enforcement officers, mental health professionals, community organizations, parents, and all others who work with K-12 students. Colorado Youth Development Team

  • The Governor’s Commission on Community Service, the Tony Grampsas Youth Services Program, the Colorado Youth Development Team, and Assets for Colorado Youth are hosting a Youth Development Forum and Training on Thursday, August 13th from 8:30am until 4:30pm at the Mesa Youth Services / Mesa County Partners Building in Grand Junction Colorado.  The morning portion is a forum and the afternoon portion is a training.  The purpose of the day is to provide a venue for local dialogue, deliberation, and training concerning youth service needs, policies, and resources to meet youth development challenges in Mesa County.  The forum is open to individuals and organizations, educators, and non-profit personnel serving children and youth.   • The Colorado Youth Development Team, Assets for Colorado Youth, and The Eagle River Youth Coalition are holding a “Spirit of Culture” training in Eagle County for youth, young adults, youth-serving professionals, adults who care for and about young people, community leaders, and advocates.  The purpose of the training is to provide an experiential learning environment learning environment on what inclusive positive youth development looks like and feels like.   The training will be held on Friday, August 14th from 8:30am until 3:30pm at The Miller Ranch Community Center in Edwards Colorado. Colorado Department of Health Care Policy and Financing

  • The Colorado Department of Health Care Policy and Financing has extended the FY08/09 contract through August 31, 2009.  The new BHO contracts that resulted from the recent Request for Proposal will begin on September 1, 2009.

Office of Planning and Partnerships, Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment

  • Senate Bill 08-194, the Public Health Act, authorizes the Office of Planning and Partnerships of the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment to create a Statewide Public Health Improvement Plan, including core services that will set priorities for the public health system in Colorado, and will provide the basis for local public health improvement plans. Several Critical Input Meetings will be held across Colorado during the month of August, during which attendees will be able to participate in a facilitated process to review and make recommendations for improvement to a draft work product.  Dates of upcoming meetings are Monday, August 3rd in Denver; Tuesday, August 4th in Fort Collins; Friday, August 7th in Denver; Tuesday, August 11th in Pueblo; and Thursday, August 13th in Broomfield.  To RSVP please call 303-692-2350 or email CDPHEEDPlanningandPartnerships@cdphe.state.co.us
